若您是古典樂迷的話，您一定聽過本地相當知名的Borealis弦樂四重奏，他們其精采絕倫的琴技曾被媒體讚揚「顛覆光速比音速快的定律」。目前團員為Patricia Shih、Yuel Yawney、Nitika Poagrebnoy與2012年應邀加入的大提琴手彭波，至今成團近15年，是當前加拿大唯一一個專業的弦樂四重奏，也是北美許多音樂節的常客。

One of the most dynamic and exciting world-class ensembles of its generation, the Borealis String Quartet has received international critical acclaim as an ensemble praised for its fiery performances, passionate style, and refined musical interpretation. Their cellist Bo Peng recently visited Fairchild Radio, and was interviewed by AM1470's host Mary Lo. During this interview, they not only talked about the musical journey of this amazing quartet, Mary also invited Bo Peng to play cello live on air!

日前當中的成員大提琴手彭波親臨本台，接受AM1470的主持人Mary 盧玉鳳專訪，暢談自己的音樂之路。在訪問當中他提到了為了確保演出的精彩度，他的團隊每天至少花上四個小時練習，完全是比照全職工作的方式來精心付出。此外他也特別喜歡旅行，因為旅途當中的經驗，能讓他在演奏時的情緒更加豐富！

彭波還表示，現在資訊發達，聽眾來聽音樂會已經不僅僅是來看演出，而是希望能夠透過觀賞表演，來體驗演奏者與創作者的內心世界。他表示：「我們希望藉由音樂和聽眾直接溝通，讓他們體會我們對這些曲目的理解與感動，進而直接感受到我們的熱情。」
