「過界」的主要演員有劉嘉玲與陳坤等人，劇中描述劉嘉玲飾演的一個上流社會名媛與飾演她司機的陳坤，兩個身份懸殊的香港人，面對沉重的生活壓力及突如而來的打擊，意外地互相倚靠及面對各自的問題。

「過界」除了由影后劉嘉玲、影帝陳坤出演外，更邀得施南生擔任監制、杜可風執掌攝影，以及張叔平擔任形象指導，是近年來港產片中難得一見的實力陣容。施南生以及兩位演員均表示，會加入這部影片，完全是被劇本吸引，被導演劉韻文的創作能力吸引。
