為了拍攝以「夢無限」為主題的「2011 後浪DJ訓練班」電視廣告 (按此收看），加拿大中文電台一班節目部和新聞部同事，搖身一變成為造型可愛的「襪DJ」、「襪主播」和「襪老師」。

每個由白襪做成的手偶均是度身訂造，根據每位DJ的外型、職業和性格而設計造型，再由人手縫製，所以表情和打扮都唯妙唯肖。手偶完成後，再由工作人員將手掌套入手偶內，令手偶可以張嘴說話，立刻就變成仱牙俐齒的「襪DJ」。

To ride on the theme of SQ16’s “The Magic is in Your Hands”, Fairchild Radio continues to use hands as the main focus of the newly released “2011 DJ Training Course” TV commercial.

The TVC of SQ16, which used hand shadows to tell a story, received tremendous feedback from the audience.  What more can be done with the hands?  How about a group of sock puppets worn on hands that will look like Fairchild Radio’s DJs and news announcers?  

在粵語版「後浪DJ訓練班」電視廣告中出現的「襪DJ」和「襪主播」包括「Brenda點唱機」的 盧業瑂、「時事直擊」的 李潔芝、「小心華之里」的 阿愷 和「加拿大至HIT中文歌曲排行榜」的 李稼軒 ；而國語版則有「穎音楓報」的 捷穎、「新聞最前線」的 陳儀芬、以及「七點Zone了沒?」的 April 和 杰拉德 。

The sock puppets were made of - well, what else – plain white socks.  But to make each puppet looks like the respective DJ, the staff of Fairchild Radio studied the appearance, job nature and personality of the DJs and come up with unique character design for each person.    And when the sock puppets were done and put on the hands, they talked, they laughed and they looked cuter than the real persons (shhh, don’t tell people I said this…..)
