A Seat at the Table「週六品味圈」三月專題 《一席之地： 卑詩省與華人的遷徒》

「週六品味圈」（Sat 9am, AM1470）每個月都會打造特別專題，介紹各種與我們息息相關的文化生活和精明消費。雖然 BC 省的疫情仍然持續，但大家亦開始適應了新常態的生活模式，知道如何在安全的情況下重新投入社區。在三月份，「週六品味圈」的主持 Celina 就為大家帶來一個有趣又有意義的互動展覽，名為《一席之地：卑詩省與華人的遷徒 A Seat at the Table: Chinese Immigration and British Columbia》，並在三月的 4 個星期六訪問籌辦展覽的多位嘉賓。本網頁會將這些訪問按星期上載到 audio archive，點擊本文上方連結即能重溫已播出的訪問。

"A Seat at the Table: Chinese Immigration and British Columbia" is a multi-sited and collaborative exhibition project that explores historical and contemporary stories of Chinese Canadians in BC and their struggles for belonging.

Using food and restaurant culture as entry point, the project highlights stories that reveal the great diversity of immigrant experiences and of the communities immigrants develop. It also addresses themes of belonging, racism, agency, resilience and reparation as important facets of the complex picture of Chinese migrants and their descendants in the province.

今次展覽是由 Museum of Vancouver（溫哥華博物館）、UBC 和 BC 省政府聯合主辦，以飲食和餐館文化作為切入點，利用實物展覽、短片、虛擬體驗、互動故事板等形式，探討 BC 省的華裔移民如何在本地落地生根，包括他們如何謀生和融入社區，並在遇到不公平對待時，如何勇敢地站出來為社區爭取權益 。

說到加國華人的移民歷程和貢獻，大部份歷史文獻都集中於最早期（例如有份參與建造鐵路的華工）和大數據，但其實 BC 省多年來一直有華人移居至此，近代華裔移民面對的挑戰跟早期的華工有很大分別，際遇亦人人不同，《一席之地》正是以最人性化個人的形式，讓參觀者憑著「聽故事」來一窺當年移民的生活面貌，並感受他們適應新環境的努力和勇氣。

《一席之地》展覽在 BC 省的兩個地點同時展出，包括 Musuem of Vancouver（Thur - Sun 10am - 4pm）和位於華埠的華裔加拿大人博物館（Fri - Sun 10am - 4pm），後者規模較小但免費入場。兩個展館的展出內容並不一樣，但都需要在網上預約入場時間，以保証參觀者能在場內保持社交距離。
