久負盛名的香港兒童交響樂團將於八月二日在卑詩大學Chan Centre舉行的“鎏金讚歌"音樂會，溫哥華是該樂團北美巡迴演出五站中的其中一站。樂團已先後到過紐約、多倫多、西雅圖、波特蘭等地演出，廣受好評。聽眾想贏取免費門票，密切留意加拿大中文電台AM1470 及FM96.1 全線節目。

由葉惠康博士於1996年創立及領導的香港兒童交響樂團，一直以高質素的音樂教育，悉心培育青少年的音樂才能。團員的年齡由 8 歲至 17 歲，他們需要通過嚴格的公開面試，競爭十分激烈。多年來，葉博士培育不少音樂精英，自1997年起，樂團每年均會舉行不同形式的音樂會，巡迴世界各地，藉以展示學員的音樂才華，廣闊視野。

今次舉辦的名為“鎏金讚歌”音樂會旨在向加拿大長者致意，顧名思義，鎏金歲月、歷久不衰，與此同時，更感謝香港兒童交響樂團總監葉惠康博士多年來對香港音樂教育的貢獻。至於樂團演出的曲目計有《一個美國人在巴黎》、《中國海》、《梁祝小提琴協奏曲》等多首悅耳樂曲，而BC Children’s Choir 及DSG Singing Group 亦會同場參與演出。

Dr. Yip Wai-hong established the Hong Kong Children’s Symphony Orchestra in 1996 for fostering young people who are talented in music with high quality music education. Their members are between 8 and 17 years old and are recruited through highly competitive open auditions. Since 1997, the Orchestra began to organize its annual concerts and has toured around the world with critical acclaim. This year, the Hong Kong Children’s Symphony Orchestra - North America Concert Tour 2014 will be held in Vancouver at Chan’s Centre, UBC on August 2 (Sat. 7:30pm).
